Dr Fitzpatrick & Associates

Dr. Deborah Fitzpatrick is a Registered Psychologist in the Province of Ontario.  She and her associates are qualified to provide psychological assessment, consultation, and treatment to a wide variety of age groups including: toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, and families.

Psychological Services include, but are not limited to, the following:

Psycho-Educational Assessment
Individual psychological assessment to address concerns of possible learning disabilities, giftedness, developmental delays, and attention deficit disorder is a service offered by Dr. Fitzpatrick.

Individual Child Psychotherapy and Parental Guidance
Counseling of parents on a variety of issues including: toilet training, behaviour difficulties at home and at school, sexual abuse, fostering a child’s self-esteem and self-confidence, helping children cope with the loss of a family member/friend/pet.

Anxiety and Mood Disorders
Individual psychological assessment and treatment for mood disorders (i.e., depression, adjustment disorders), as well as, anxiety disorders including panic attacks, phobias, posttraumatic stress disorder, and acute stress disorder are provided. Sleep hygiene for insomnias. Treatment strategies with children include play therapy, and parental guidance.

Motor Vehicle Accidents,  ABI, and Chronic Pain
Individual psychological assessment and treatment of chronic pain, and adjustment to accident-related medical conditions, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder are also offered. The combination of pain and stress management, support for lifestyle management, and cooperation in multidisciplinary treatment interventions form a solid basis for management and/or treatment of pain disorders.
Referral and Payment

Patients/clients may self-refer, or be referred by any professional and agency. Extended health care insurance plans often cover a portion of, or all fees for psychological services. Car accident victims and their families are covered for a large portion by their auto insurance for necessary psychological services.
